For Jason Collin:

"Well produced video that shows the capabilities of the 1200mm lens very well. I wonder how many of these lenses are sold each year and who are the clientele?"

This was covered in a review by Bryan Carnathan on the-digital-picture.com. The lens was originally an FD mount, but most were converted to the EF mount. There were also a few made specifically in the EF mount--about 2 per year, with no total production numbers available.

B&H has the lens. They are asking $120,000.

Well produced video that shows the capabilities of the 1200mm lens very well. I wonder how many of these lenses are sold each year and who are the clientele?

It seems like a very functional and manageable lens despite its fantasy sounding 1200mm length.

How much does a proper tripod and mount for it cost as well??
