This Giottos MH-1302 Pro Series II Ballhead is a lightweight, packable ballhead for short lens use. Weighing just over 12 oz, it can support 18 lbs of gear. Perfect for occasional macro or landscape shots.
Three separate knobs provide optimal security : a main locking knob, a friction control knob, and a separate locking knob for pan control.
This ballhead includes the MH-655 quick release plate, but can easily be adapted to use an Arca Swiss standard plate such as the Wimberley P-5. To do so, take off the Giottos plate and remove the safety-stop bolt with the 2.5mm Allen wrench.
