G-Lock Design: Gitzo's G-Lock mechanism provides extra rigidity, faster operation and stronger, safer leg locking. G-Lock's design also incorporates a gravity lock effect whereby the higher the load applied vertically to the leg, the stronger the lock.
Safe-Lock Plate: Gitzo's Safe-Lock Plate has a rubberized surface for extra grip and reduced vibration, and two locking screws for your column and for your head.
Gitzo 6X Carbon Fiber Tube: Gitzo's six-crossed multilayer carbon fiber is 30% lighter than previous generation tubes, and features exceptional stability and vibration absorption.

I absolutely love this tripod. It's incredibly well-made, it works for my height, it's stable, and it is light enough for me to carry it easily - even while loaded. Great customer service, too. Go for it - you won't regret it.
