The Hoodman HoodCrane is a universal hot shoe mount for the HoodLoupe 3.0. It features a spring-loaded latch that moves the crane up and down. It also swings up and pivots out of the way for shared LCD viewing or still shooting.

The HoodCrane also has a cold shoe mount on top so you can add other shoe-mounted accessories.

"I highly recommend this valuable and necessary system for video filming on clear days with a bright sun. The HoodCrane keeps the HoodLoupe sturdily in place. The HoodLoupe went from near useless on a Canon 5D Mk2 to perfect, in my view, using the Crane. The system appears ungainly and looking at the picture of it would seem hard to stow. Not true, however. The lever portion reduces in size and fits inside the hood for easy stowing in your camera bag."
