INTRODUCTION

Your Freestyle720 chair should offer years of trouble free use. There are additional accessories and items available including an optional seat back for extended use and comfort.

Before setting your chair up for the first time you must read and fully understand the owner’s manual. The most susceptible time for tipping over is the first time you use your chair. You must follow the safety techniques and pay particular attention to the sections Balance/Safety and Intended Use before sitting on your chair. Once you have read and understand the warnings you can start to setup your chair for use.

INTENDED USE

Your Freestyle720 chair is intended for use in a seated position with your weight centered on the seat cushion and your legs contacting the ground in front of you. Sitting too close to the front or back edge of the seat can cause extra stress on the mechanics of the chair and significantly increase your risk of tipping over. Never use your chair without staking it down first. Use all 6 of the included stakes and press them in at different angles until they contact the stabilizer feet firmly. Never stand or kneel on the seat cushion as this may increase your chances of tipping over resulting in serious injury. Do not use on surfaces that cannot adequately support the combined weight of you and your chair.

The Freestyle720 is not designed for persons weighing more than 250 lbs.

BALANCE/SAFETY

The Freestyle720 can be very unsteady if you do not follow the instructions for the intended use. Always use your stakes and always keep your legs in front of you and sit in the center of the seat cushion. Make sure that you practice with your chair to get comfortable to the weight distribution changes during use before going in the field - particularly for hunting. The applications for this chair will in some cases be used in conjunction with a loaded weapon. Make sure you are practicing safe techniques as the added changes in balance with a weapon is a serious situation and caution must be used to avoid tipping. Also make sure if someone wants to try your chair, you fully educate them on these techniques and safety instructions before letting them use it. Once you become comfortable with moving around, you will find it’s more about the technique and practice than anything else.

SETUP PROCEDURE

Your Freestyle720 chair is shipped fully assembled and includes six required stakes and an optional carrying bag for transport. To set up your chair, we recommend unfolding all the legs first and then your seat top. You may need to pull the knob on the cam over latch to compress the spring to engage the joint. Make sure the knob is pushed completely forward after hinge joint is closed (see Figure A). When deploying chair legs, use caution to avoid pinch points. After chair is set up, we recommend adjusting leg extensions to the longest setting for maximum stability (see Figure B). Don’t forget to tighten leg extension knobs and stake down before sitting in chair. When tightening leg extension knobs, be careful not to over tighten.

Make sure to put all 6 stakes in foot holes and drive stakes firmly in ground until they stop on footpad. Driving stakes in ground at opposing angles is more effective than straight own.

After straightening joint to setup the Freestyle720, make sure the knob is fully forward and not obstructed.	For maximum stability, extend the legs out to the furthest position before staking. Do not extend legs past the last incremental mark of 8.5.

PROPER CARE & MAINTENANCE

If used in accordance with the instructions contained in this manual, your Freestyle720 chair should be virtually maintenance free. An area to pay particularly close attention to build up is the cam over latch assembly and spring. If debris builds up in this area it could cause the mechanism to become hard to operate. Never use a tool to strike the joint or knob to force operation. This can damage or break the assembly making the joint inoperable. If debris becomes lodged in any areas or for general cleaning we recommend using compressed air and/or a cloth to wipe residual elements away. We recommend cleaning your chair more frequently if you are in environments that are especially muddy or if debris gets trapped in any articulating areas. Your seat cushion is made of closed cell foam with a nylon laminate covering over a wood base. Normal use should not affect your seat cushion; however submerging or extended water log over time can ruin the seat base. We recommend allowing your seat cushion to fully dry out after each use. Seat cushion assembly wear is a variable of usage, environment and weight. We recommend replacing your seat if it appears warped, cracked or unstable.

WARRANTY

Your Freestyle720 chair is warranted against manufacturer defects for a period of 6 months. You must have proof of purchase and original receipt. Warranty does not cover seat cushion, stakes, wear items, carrying case or any parts that were damaged from abuse, misuse or damage caused by use over the weight limit of 250 lbs.
