"This purpose-built attachment is perfect for holding a microphone. Anyone knows that the microphones built into most consumer camcorders are completely inadequate, especially outdoors. This attachment is easy to configure so you can grab it and attach it to your beltpack or other rig quickly. Mine will be used (for now) with my ThinkTank SpeedFreak. No detail has been overlooked. There are multiple places for cord storage depending on your preferences."
