The TQR1 Tripod Mount Quick Release System allows you to quickly change heads on your tripod without tedious unthreading and rethreading. Easily move your gimbal head or ball head from your tripod to an alternate support such as an Apex Bean Bag or an Eckla Eagle Car Door Support.

The TQR1 System comes with one bottom plate (to attach to your tripod) and two top plates (to attach to your heads). The Bottom Plate and Top Plate are also available separately.

Don't spend precious time slowly turning threads off and on, or fumbling to line up threads before dawn. With the TQR1, pull a pin, snap off the head, and snap one back on. The TQR1 is quick, safe and sturdy. When snapped together, the TQR1 is firmly locked with no play or movement.

The TQR1 has a strong tongue and grove design and is made out of high quality anodized aluminum. The bottom plate threads onto the top of your tripod and has a small setscrew for extra security. The top plate threads onto to your gimbal head or ball head and has a security setscrew as well.

To mount, simply sliding the two plates together over the inset safety pressure pin and lock the plates into place with the spring-loaded positioning pin. To unmount, pull the positioning pin and push the two plates apart. Place a new head onto your tripod in the matter of a seconds, and you are ready to shoot!

"I have used the TQR1 while shooting on the beach and when using the skimmer pod and then back to the tripod with great ease and do not have to worry about missing a shot. I have run in the rain with my 600mm lens and D3 camera body slung over my shoulder and never once had to worry about the TQR1 coming apart. The positioning pin is spring loaded which keeps it in the locked position until I am ready to change it out. This device has proven to be very helpful in the field and I now wonder how I did without it."

"At first I was skeptical using the TQR1 because it seemed too simple to use. The skepticism soon ran dry after using it for a day shooting landscapes. I found myself fascinated by the engineering because although it seemed simple it was sophisticated yet durable. I used my Induro tripod with my Canon EOS 5D Mark II and switched between my 600mm lens and my 400mm for eight hours and experienced no problems at all. The pull pin mechanism is easy to use and the plates smoothly slide in and out of each other. The photography world has been helped immensely by this device. I can not imagine doing my work without it. "
