The
Trek-Tech TrekPod XL, the carbon-fiber version of the popular TrekPod Go! PRO,
is a unique monopod that can also serve as a lightweight tripod and as a hiking staff.
The TrekPod XL's carbon fiber construction assures a rugged, adjustable, lightweight (17 oz. / 482 g including ball head) monopod, and can shorten to be a sturdy hiking staff.
Quickly extend the legs at the bottom, and now the TrekPod XL is a stable, lightweight tripod with a 13.5 lb (6.1 kg) load capacity. Great for compact cameras, DLSRs with short lenses, camcorders and spotting scopes. Also handy for microphones, flashes and lights.
The TrekPod XL also incorporates an innovative quick-release mount/de-mount system called the MagMount PRO.
The MagMount PRO is an industry-first magnetic quick-release camera and optical device ballhead. It provides for the instant attachment of almost any camera, spotting scope, or other device that is mounted via the industry standard 1/4-20 threaded mounting system.
It comes supplied with two plates: Light Force Mag Adaptor and Anti-Rotation plate, so that all camera and optical devices are ready for instant attachment to the MagMount PRO.
