Walt Anderson (the inventor of the Better Beamer) has created a lightweight Panning Ground Pod that offers you smooth panning action while keeping your camera low to the ground for those dramatic shots.
This multipurpose pod is also great for setting on bean bags, and is used extensively on safaris to rest your camera on the roof or the hood of vehicles.
Unlike many ground pods, you don't need a ball head, as the Ground Pod is fitted with an Arca-Swis clamp, ready to accept any Arca-Swiss plate. Simply take your lens off the tripod and insert it into the clamp, tighten and shoot! The smooth flow of the pivot makes panning a breeze.
Perfect for video too! Instead of twisting your lens on a beanbag, the Panning Ground Pod gives your video shoot a nice smooth pan.
